The Sixth Day of Christmas

"The Twelve Days of Christmas" was written in England as one of  the "catechism songs" to help young Catholics learn parts of their faith during the time of King Henry VIII.

The six geese a-laying stood for the six days of creation. The eggs of the geese hold the promise of life to come; which represents the maintenance and expansion of God’s creation.
