Did You Know? Hold and Secure

Let's continue our Hour Zero safety protocol review with "Hold and Secure." This is a term you may not have heard before, but it is a critical part of our safety plan.
What it means: "Hold and Secure" is used when there is a risk or threat outside the school building, not inside. It allows for school life to continue as normally as possible within the building. All exterior doors are locked, and no one is permitted to enter or exit. Classes and activities inside the school continue.
What it doesn't mean: A "Hold and Secure" does not mean there is an active threat inside the school. It is a precaution taken to ensure the school perimeter is secured while an external situation is resolved by emergency services.
How you can help: If you are en route to the school during a "Hold and Secure" protocol, please do not approach the building. We will inform you when the protocol has been lifted and normal operations have resumed.
