The City of Red Deer: Grade 7-12 students shift to at-home learning

Online Learning

Dear Parents/Guardians,

Effective this upcoming Monday, May 3, 2021, our Grade 7 - 12 students within The City of Red Deer will shift to at-home and online learning as per the most recent Alberta Government's mandated public health measures announced on April 29. The City of Red Deer has been identified as an area with increased COVID-19 cases and as a result, this operational shift to learning at home. The shift will be in place for two weeks with students returning to school on May 17, 2021. The Alberta Government will continue to monitor the situation throughout this two-week time period to determine if additional time and measures are needed to mitigate risks and limit exposure.

Students from Grade 7 -12 will be offered online learning following a weekly class schedule so they can work directly with their teachers throughout the day. Your school will provide further information on how to keep moving forward with the curriculum and continue the strong learning that is happening within classes.
