Palm Sunday

Today is Palm Sunday.

The Church distributes palm branches on this day to commemorate Christ's triumphal entrance into Jerusalem, when palm branches were placed in His path, before His arrest and Crucifixion on Good Friday. This special day marks the beginning of Holy Week, which commemorates the Passion of Christ, and includes Holy Thursday and Good Friday. Holy Week ends on Holy Saturday, the day before Easter Sunday.
