Third Sunday of Advent

On the third Sunday of Advent, we celebrate Gaudete Sunday and in addition to two purple candles, we light the pink candle of joy.

Rejoice! Joy is all around us and our celebration of Advent calls us to discover it. It is the joy we feel as we approach the birth of our Saviour.

We continue to remember the awesome beauty of what happened on that cold Bethlehem night when the angels announced to the shepherds the message of Jesus' birth.

Today, we continue to be heralds of this good news.
