On Friday, August 13, 2021 Alberta Health and Alberta Education released information regarding the 2021-2022 School Re-Entry plans. Classes will resume as near to normal with additional health measures in place.

Based on the information we have at this time, our approach to school re-entry matches that of the 2021-2022 School Re-Entry Plan provided to all school divisions from Alberta Education at the end of June.  We have successfully opened St. Patrick’s Community School on August 9 following these guidelines.

Please note that we will continue to look at new documents from Friday’s news release and adjust our plans accordingly based on the new information provided. We will ensure that we provide staff and parents with our plans when they are completed. School Year Plan 2021-2022 Alberta Education (August 13, 2021 edition)

The safety and well being of our students and staff is top priority for Red Deer Catholic Regional Division. Our efforts are to mitigate the risks of COVID-19. RDCRS will cooperate with Alberta Health Services (AHS) and the Ministry of Education to provide children a safe return to school in the fall. Parents also have a role to play in supporting this process. Please refer to Alberta Education’s Parent Guide for the 2021-2022 School Year for the suggestions.
