The Model of Student Support (MS2) is a multidisciplinary team comprised of a Behaviour Specialist, a Psychologist, a Mental Health Consultant, Cognitive Learning Specialists, and Family School Enhancement Counsellors delivering targeted and specialized support to students and families in a Response to Intervention model (RTI). The mission of the team is to “work collaboratively to build capacity with staff and families to assist in meeting the needs of all children.”

MS2 has operated within a community collaborative model since its inception, with demonstrated delivery of individual, family, and community-oriented goals and outcomes. Through a coordinated, multidisciplinary approach, the MS2 Team provides early intervention and preventative services to school age children and their families. Focusing on the “whole child,” this team helps create wrap-around services for average functioning children, as well as those identified as being “at risk” or vulnerable to social, emotional, behavioural, and learning problems.
