“Students learn the importance of engaging in being ethical citizens. One component of being an ethical citizen is being active in the democratic process. By exercising this right, we start to understand the paramount nature of voting in democracies. It is also important for students to realize certain groups have not always had the right to vote,” said Bob Marsh, teacher at École Secondaire Notre Dame High School.

“For all students, it helps them to see the importance of voting as a responsibility of citizenship. They learn how to vote and that the process is easy,” said Alanna Cellini, teacher at St. Gregory the Great Catholic School.
