Alberta is recognized worldwide as a leader in the development of quality curriculum. The revised Kindergarten to Grade 12 Mathematics program maintains this standard by integrating current research, developments, and trends in Math learning and teaching.
Alberta's Math programs require that students can not only add, subtract, multiply and divide but that they also know how to reason and solve problems in real-life situations. The Math programs were developed in collaboration with post-secondary institutions, teachers, administrators, and parents. The program is aligned with the most up-to-date research into the teaching and learning of Math.
